In the aftermath of the defeat on court at Torino that definitively closed the Openjobmetis season, the Red & White captain Giancarlo Ferrero has been centre stage in the new phase of ‘Basketball: A School of Life’, an initiative that, thanks to the contribution of Teva, multinational pharmaceutical sponsor of the Red & Whites club, brings Varese Basketball players in direct contact with the students of Varese and the province.



Accompanied by Raffaella Demattè, head of the initiative, Ferrero visited the elementary school ‘E. Toti’ in Cavaria with Premezzo where he met about 50 children who listened attentively to the stories and experiences of the Openjobmetis Captain. The meeting ended with the traditional group photo and the handing out of posters signed by the Openjobmetis Captain.
