TYLER CAIN, A NEW SIGNING FOR OPENJOBMETIS VARESE

Openjobmetis Varese Basketball announces that it has reached an agreement with player Tyler Cain. Class of 1988, American Centre Cain has signed a one-year contract that will bind him to the Red & Whites club until the end of the 2017/18 season. An all-round, effective player on both sides of the court, Cain is able to assert his physical form under the basket and is able to find space for himself and his teammates thanks to his remarkable passing skills.

Career

Cain, a product of South Dakota University (in his final year with the Coyotes he totalled 14.7 points and 10.4 rebounds on average), soon began his career in Europe, arriving in Latvia at VEF Riga, where he contributed to the victory of two championships and where he accrued some international experience thanks to the EuroCup showcase. In 2012-2013, he moved to the Barons in Riga, where he scored 15.8 points and 10.6 rebounds, performing well in the Baltic League by winning the best rebound award of 11.2 and reaching 13.3 points. The following year he came to Forlì, Italy where he became one of the best players in the then DNA Gold thanks to 17 points and 11 rebounds for a total of 25 points on average. He played in the top French series from 2014-2015 where he wore a Pau Orthez, Dijon jersey and finally a Chalons-Reims jersey, where he closed the year with almost 10 points and 7 rebounds per game.
