OPENJOBMETIS VARESE TO WEAR ANGELICO

Angelico will be the new look for Openjobmetis Varese Basketball. The coaching staff and the Red & White club managers will be wearing a smart outfit for the 2016/2017 season provided by the established company from Biella, industry leader for over 60 years and with close ties to sport and in particular to basketball, both in the Italian league and in the newly formed Basketball Champions League. Angelico and Varese Basketball, two well-known brands in Italy and in the world, have signed a partnership agreement that will allow the two companies to pool their historical brands. This initiative is in addition to other close prestigious Angelico partnerships with various sports clubs, including Biella Basketball, of which the Company is the Main Sponsor and Title Sponsor of the 2005/2006 season. With this new sponsorship, Angelico further reinforces our presence in Varese, where it already resides in Varese Coin with a dedicated corner where Varese Basketball fans can see a range of Angelico products.

Claudio Coldebella, General Manager, Varese Basketball: «We are extremely pleased and honoured to have formed a new partnership with Angelico, a major player that has been linked to the world of basketball for years. Thanks to Alberto and Massimo Angelico for the opportunity they have given us».

Massimo and Alberto Angelico, Owner of Angelico Wool Mill: «We are proud to support Openjobmetis Varese Basketball for the 2016/2017 season. We have chosen to support the Varese athletes because the team reflects and expresses everything that the wool mill believes – the values of a clean and sound sport, and the importance of tradition».

Angelico

In the early 1950s, Giuseppe Angelico, thanks to his resourcefulness and the favourable period in history in which he was situated, founded Wool Mill Angelico at Ronco in Biella. Since its establishment, the distinguishing features of Angelico’s approach are the skills of its qualified professionals, the culture of style, the excellence of its chosen materials, and the quality of the raw materials that are used. Alberto and Massimo carry on their father’s mission combining the original spirit with innovation and the changes that have occurred over the years. Angelico still qualifies today as a market leader owing to its position in the world and its complete and precise production process that enables it to produce up to 20,000 metres of fabric per day, and collections of products. Angelico has 17 direct sales outlets in Italy and intends to expand abroad to Chinese, Russian and Saudi Arabian markets.
