Despite the bad weather that hit Varese during the weekend, the Basket Fest 2K15 took place as planned. This traditional two-day event of 3vs3 basketball competition was organized by Pallacanestro Openjobmetis Varese together with the association Amici della Pallacanestro Varese ONLUS and the social promotion association Amici del Campetto.

Almost 400 among children, young people and adults played in turns on the historical court of PalaWhirlpool, engaging in extraordinary, breath-taking games. The top prize (4 return tickets to New York on Delta airline flights) was awarded to the winners of the Senior Men category Claudio Negri, Gionata Zampolli, and Damiano Verri. The top prize (a trip to Riccione for the finals of Italian Streetball) for the women tournament was awarded to Valentina Gatti, Sara Canova, Marcella Filippi, and Eleonora Iselli. The winner of the Under 15/Under 16 category was the foursome Ciapponi-Pasinato-Cortese-Pellizzari, while Argieri-Parravicini-Battistini-Passera led the 2001-2002 category. Librizzi-Macchi-Pietrocola, Calderon-Zhao-Morricino and Leone-Magazzini-Vanoli-Pellicanò won the Minibasket A (2003-2004), Minibasket B (2005-2006), and Minibasket C (2007-2008-2009) competitions respectively. Mattia Zilio and Alessandro Trani won the three-pointer competition, the former in the senior category and the latter in the youth category.
