The event that took place last night at Villa Napoleonica – Ville Ponti in Varese – was fully devoted to sports. In the fourth edition of the “Varese Sport” Award, the customary end-of-season event organized by Sunrise Media, Eric Maynor, point-guard of Pallacanestro Openjobmetis Varese, ranked third in the “Athlete of the Year” category, after Giulia Pisani, center of Unendo Yamamay Busto Arsizio, and Giampaolo Calzi, midfielder of Pro Patria.

A special award was also given to the players of Handicap Sport Cimberio Varese, who played a fantastic season, which climaxed with a silver medal in the Challenge Cup.
