The third stage of "Basketball: a school of life" was held this morning. This is an initiative organised by the Openjobmetis Varese Basketball thanks to Teva, top multinational pharmaceutical sponsor of the Red & Whites, which puts Openjobmetis Varese Basketball players in direct contact with students in and around the Province of Varese. The star of the day was Giancarlo Ferrero. The Red & White Forward, accompanied by Raffaella Demattè, Massimo Ferraiuolo and Roberto Bonin, met 80 pupils at the "Alessandro Manzoni" Primary School in Venegono Inferiore, who had already been at PALA2A during the league game against Sassari. The youngsters asked many questions and were curious about the Piedmontese player, who was eventually stormed by the usual avalanche of children for a group photo and autographs.



The Varese Basketball project is sponsored by FIP, CONI, Varese City and County Councils and has been renewed for another 15 years, enjoying a success and participation that continues to grow with the schools in the region.
